Kellie Riordan is a leading podcast strategist and the creative force behind many of Australia’s most popular podcasts including Conversations, historical narrative series The Eleventh (AIDC winner), No Feeling is Final (Director’s Choice at Third Coast), the Walkley-award-winning Unravel True Crime, comedy series Finding Drago, Judith Lucy Overwhelmed and Dying, and CrossBread, children’s podcasts Short & Curly, Mackaroy Uncovered and Fierce Girls, and the hugely popular series for women Ladies We Need To Talk and The Pineapple Project.
Petter Sommer is Head of Podcasts in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and has a background as a director, sound designer and news journalist. He has directed several award-winning documentaries, run a commercial sound studio and held many workshops in sound enginering as well as voice acting. In 2019 he produced the news podcast Oppdatert (Updated), which won the award for Podcast of the Year in Norway the following year.
Norbert Grundei is head of audio strategy at Norddeutscher Rundfunk. In his role he is responsible for the NDR audio lab THINK AUDIO and the young audio brand N- JOY. On his initiative, the “NDR Info Coronavirus Update” was created, which is considered the most successful podcast start in Germany and was streamed more than 60 million times in the first 6 months.
Anna Priestland is an Australian independent podcast writer and producer covering human interest, history and true-crime. Having written a large collection of non-fiction work for Casefile: True Crime podcast and other global podcasts in the genre such as A+E’s TV companion podcast Murdertown, Anna is now producing a number of in depth projects of her own as well as joining network productions in a lead role.
Rasmus Kidde is an Audience Researcher at the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) and an expert on the media habits of the Danes’ with a primary focus on Podcast and radio usage, he will be speaking about “Knowing your podcast listener” basing it on research carried out by DR on the listeners to podcasts in Denmark today.
Sophie von der Tann is a correspondent for the public German broadcaster ARD in Berlin, reporting on federal politics for radio, TV and online. Together with her colleagues Sophie developed the Tagesschau Zukunftspodcast. She is passionate about innovative formats for young audiences and has previously co-founded „News-WG“, an award-winning instagram politics channel by Bayerischer Rundfunk.
